Congrats mate love the GT2RS but why didnt you go for the bucket seats?

Wow, what a combination! I assume you got rid of your Scuderia when you got the GTO, Mike? You're one lucky kid to have seen all those cars in one place. Positively orgasmic I'd say!

Scuderia became a bit obsolete with the GTO and the 458.

 

Not in my opinion, however beauty/functionality is in the eyes of the beholder.

 

I understand John's sentiment. Both cars are very special, but in different ways. Automobile reviewed both cars at the Ring. They said never had they seen two cars accomplish the same task in two entirely different ways. The GTO has 670hp from 12 cylinders, the GT2RS 621hp from only 6 cylinders. Torque hits at 6200 RPM on the GTO, 2250rpm on the RS. The GTO was very fast in, but had trouble with traction on exit. The GT2RS was slow in, but very fast out. GT2 Steering had the classic Porsche feel, the GTO was precise but a little numb. GTO sound made the hairs on your arm stand up, Porsche had the Turbo woosh and not much else. The GTO was a spectacular technical achievement. The GT2 was simply a pure drivers car. 6 speed stick, incredible feel, timeless design. In the end the GT2 won out by a slim margin for simply being a purists driving car. Plus it was a bit faster on the ring. Slow in and fast out wins every time. But, based on sound and looks the GTO wins. Maybe we need a poll?
