C93 HRE's on GT3
A big thanks again to Alex at Sharkwerks for hours spent discussing wheel porn which in this instance resulted in this combo on my atlas grey GT3. HRE's latest competition wheel, C93, even lighter than C21 and you can see some of why in a couple of the photos as the spokes are reamed out, plus some more material removed on the back of the hub.
Weighed them against the stock wheels, like for like, and got 10 pounds per wheel less on the rears and 5 pounds less per wheel on the fronts. I figure a 30 pound reduction in rotating unsprung weight is pretty good and with Sport Cups for similar it can't hurt at the track.
For a little bling, Alex helped me fixate on glittery charcoal powder coated centers with polished lips. |
