Think of it this way...
If you want a 911, there you go. What if you want a cabriolet though? The C2 Cab. What if that's not fast enough? The C2S. A Cabriolet version of that? Check. What about 4WD. Well, every previous noted 911 has 4WD. Cool. What if you want a Targa. There. What if that's too slow. The Targa 4S. Still too slow? There's the Turbo/Turbo Cab. Still too slow, there's the Turbo S, and Turbo S Cab. What if those are too fast. Then there's the GT3. What if that's just a little too slow? The GT3 RS. What if you love the Turbo S, but it's too heavy, and you don't like 4WD. There's always the GT2 RS. What if you decide you want something slower than a GT3, yet still track ready. The Carrera GTs/GTS Cab. What if you want a GTS Cab with some retro flare. The Speedster's for you. What if you change your mind back to a GT2 RS, but hate turbocharged cars, now there's the GT3 RS LE.
See, Porsche makes all of those variants for a reason.
