Because the 918 is the latest, newest, and greatest. And $650k is way out there for them. I was a 918 buyer, but NOT at $650k. I just don't feel like they will upstage the 918 (their current baby) with a hybrid that comes out ahead of it. It defeats the purpose of new technology and getting the big sales price number. I think we see the car, just after the 918. I'm wrong every day, so take this opinion for what it's worth.

^^ Well, the 918 is a FULL hybrid, this GT3 will only have KERS, so I don't think it will do much in the was if upstaging the 918. The 918 is still years away.

A regional Porsche rep was just in about an hour ago and I got to talking to him about this topic of a new GT3RS. He said he hasn't heard anything about it. Porsche held a meeting earlier this year showing them all the future cars they're working on and a new GT3RS wasn't one of them...
