I don't recommend it. Sure it saves weight, but it really just makes the car obnoxiously loud. And not in a good way, more of a "In your face my car is so loud and way nicer than any of the other shit cans on the road......way". Porsche had I believe 12 engineers working on just the sound of the car. The only exhaust I have heard(only in a video) that sounded pretty good would be the Kreisiseg.

Just my two cents.

A while back there was a thread with a ridiculous M6 and one of the responses was "who gave that ricer money?"

AWE Straight pipes is a pretty similar story - Ricer fart can exhaust with the volume turned all the way up.

I wouldn't touch the ehxuast of the car. It's one of the best characteristics of the car and what make the CGT special from the rest. NOTHING on the road sounds like it. Why ruin it?

Just my 2c.

Just my 2 cents worth....

Used to think that the CGT exhaust was perfect as is....having heard the AWE straight pipes I thought they were terrible to be honest.

Then a local friend had the GMG exhaust installed on his CGT and I was blown away...not obnoxious, but a distinct enhancement of the F1 wail and just incredible.

I'm a convert...if you must change from stock, I believe GMG is the way to go.

absolutely agree...having heard a stock, a awe, and gmg exhaust on a CGT in person....the GMG was by far the best sounding one of all

NA car, finely tuned, loss in back pressure and probably tq downlow. RufMD is right there... Straight pipes don't make it sound nice either,
