Agreed. It has to be a bit conservative for the general buying public. A 'sport' package will be added to make the car more aggressive. And I'm sure the M version will look great.

The E60 550 looks much better than the original E60, the M5 even better, etc.

It's a little more (base price) then a current body style E-Class. Not too far off tho, looks reasonable.

This is the first time the E class is less than its equivalent 5 series, right?

BMW has gone crazy with their pricing. I really liked the 550GT until I discovered the one I liked was 90K

If I'm to be blunty honest (which I always am) I think we're spoiled brats with the prices of cars here in the States. New E Class and 5'er haven't moved much in price over the years yet it's cost hundreds of millions of dollars to develop and produce these new chassis.

We neeed to grow up and realize these cars should cost more. Not everyone is entitled to drive a Benz or BMW. Gotta pay to play.

So yes, I think the asking MSRP is more then fair considering all thats gone into the car to produce it.

The USD/EUR exchange rate really hurt the Euro car companies over the last few years, severely pressuring profit margins at BMW and MB so it was only a matter of time before they raised prices.
