Ralph Lauren's Bugatti 57SC Atlantic wins at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 7 Attachment(s) Attachment 121719 Ralph Lauren's Bugatti 57SC Atlantic wins at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este As noted by the event's website, The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is one of the world's most significant automotive events, celebrating the beauty of historic cars and modern day one off concepts, in a completely non-commercial atmosphere. The lavish grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, one of the world's leading hotels, and the glistening waters of Lake Como, play host to this must see automotive spectacular. At the event the public is a key element, rewarding participants with applause and their votes. Important to note, the most traditional prize of the Concours, the Coppa d’Oro, is decided by a public vote. This year the coveted 'Best In Show' honor was awarded to fashion mogul Ralph Lauren and his outstanding 1938 Bugatti Atlantic 57SC. Lauren's Bugatti Atlantic 57SC is one of three examples ever produced, yet only two are still in existence. To give you an idea of its value, Motorauthority notes a similar version from 1936 sold for more than $30 million in 2010, regarded as the most expensive car ever sold. Congrats to Mr. Lauren as he is a wonderful automotive enthusiast.
