7-8 Passenger SUV's and Baby Seats

For those that have a 7-8 Passenger SUV, is it possible to put a baby/toddler seat in the 3rd row?

From what I have read, I haven’t been able to find a vehicle that has Latches in the 3rd row.

I have two kids (under 3 years old) and want to plan for the future a bit. Right now, I have two baby seats in the back of my car, making the middle seat (in between the car seats) useless. I would like to get an SUV that can hold at least one baby seat in the third row.

I don't know what it takes to latch a baby seat, but I know my mom's done it in our third row in our Odyssey, which we're actually trying to sell.

its possibly in vans for sure, but I would rather not get a minivan. A minivan would be the most logical choice, but how often do men make logical choices when it comes to automobiles??

(although I will admit that the odyssey and sienna are two excellent minivans, if someone is in the market for one)

Oh, you clearly say SUV. For some reason, I read van lol, sorry. Yeah, get an SUV, vans suck.

have you ever got into the third row of an SUV? I certainly would not want to have to crawl back there carrying a baby and attempt to latch him/her in.

I have, and its not fun, but for the time being, only one baby seat would go in the 3rd row, and thats for my two year old daughter. She can pretty much buckle herself up, I would just need to snap it in place with one hand, so it wouldnt be too difficult. Once the younger daughter starts walking, etc, my older daughter can probably buckle her in first, and then buckle herself in, and I would just have to reach back a double check that they are in securely.

What about the suburbans et al?? I'm sure the 3rd row in those trucks can't be that useless as most midsize SUV's??

Our Denali XL had 3 car seats across the rear bench but I think only 2 had the latch system & one used the seatbelt. Three across fit in a full size though.

You could fit a baby seat in the 3rd row, but it may not be the safest option. I'm looking for a large SUV and i'd def. not want to stick kids seats that far back.

our escalade had latch in the third row, so did our R500. minivans may not be cool, but the R500 was a very good car.
