Importing a Land Rover Defender SVX?
#12
I don't really like the SVX actually. They basically put an ugly grill on the front, some recaro seats (zomg, in a LaRo?!) in the middle and some random cheap plastic bits everywhere else.
I'd much rather have a Td5 (much nicer engine than the rubbish Ford Transport sourced Td4 in the new one) Tomb Raider.
Plus you should definitely drive one before blowing a fortune on getting one into the States. Personally, I learned how to drive in a Defender and love it to death but they are certainly not for everyone.

I'm with you on the "few shiny bits added".
If we're going that way I'd rather have a Series I 88, coil sprung on Salisbury axles with 200TDi powertrain and galvanized frame. Now that would be ballin'.
I must say that short bed 110 is really nice though ...

ok. best i can remember, this is the place that imports the 2 door g and the defender and they handle all the mods so that you can drive and be legal after the money exchanges hands.
if i remember, the 5 year old 2 door g 320 costs more than a new g 500!
G.Wagen USA
good luck!
