it looks like it was a HDD model, but I'm sure something is wrong with the pro....it makes absolutely no sense. I have never seen a pro stumble with the dock bouncing EVER.

must be, people at the apple store screw those things up to the point where they are slow as hell I guess. I was reading on macrumors also that someone returned one for it getting too hot while using in bed or on his lap. He said since the vents are on the bottom and if you place the Air on ur lap or bed it gets very hot. People replied with, "this has never happend to me" and what not. Anyone see a problem in me using my MBA on my lap because of this issue?

aluminum casing = retains heat.

my powerbook did it, my macbook pro did it, I'm sure the air is going to do it.

This is going to be my first laptop that I will ever own. I only do light things, internet, itunes, ichat, will those apps cause the MBA to get super hot while on my lap or in bed?

lap, not hot, bed. yes. anytime the bottom or the sides are not completely free you will get heat. that is why they recommend the icurve stand for them

Thanks, I will check that out. By in bed I mean laying up on some pillows with the air on my lap like I would be using on the couch.

eh, it will probobly get a little toasty. I would just throw a hardcover book between your legs and the air for comfort reasons.
