Is the PS3 still considered to be a quality stand-alone BD player?

Monoprice is awesome.

I don't see any reason not to get a PS3. Streams Pandora, Netflix, etc., plays Blu-ray, looks attractive, remote is Bluetooth and doesn't need line of sight, it's fast, and if you want, it plays games. It's also future proof - there really won't be anything it won't do, unlike a standalone. If you'd purchased a standalone 6 months ago you'd be SOL with 3D, but the PS3 sends out firmware and you're set.
The only downside is doesn't stream raw bitstreams of Dolby HD and DTS Master Audio, but then again, this could be a good thing if your receiver processes 5.1/7.1 linear PCM but not those formats. I think there are some debates over whether having the PS3 decode versus streaming to a quality receiver is better, but I haven't had any quality problems.
The only con to the PS3 is that it can't rack mount and isn't stackable.
