3d TV's? Anyone have one / use it? thoughts? One of my older LCD TV's went out so I bought a Samsung UN46C8000 LED/LCD, should be delivered in the next couple of days. Seems like a decent TV whether I use the 3D or not, didn't buy the glasses yet. |
3D is ghey. Wearing those glasses in your house is retarded. The only good thing about 3D is that it's driving 2D LED prices down. |
i have yet to see one n person, im very curious to se what it looks like, but also i dont want to have to wear glasses in my own house to watch a movie |
I get dizzy watching the things in 3d, maybe its just me, but I find it pointless. |
not to hijack, but what's a great 2d lcd for the 52'-55' range? |
i watched avatar in 3d and it was awesome. i haven't seen the 3d tv in person yet. |
I'm waiting to see if this will just be a fad..... I don't quite trust this technology being around for too long |

Once the stocks are gone, they are gone. Samsung had an injunction slapped on them to stop selling local dimming TV's. The Samsung 8000 series is EDGELIT, and NOT BACKLIT. If not Samsung, you want backlit local dimming LED's, do NOT get the edge lit stuff, it will not give you the contrast that the backlit local dimming LED's do. Lastly, check out this article for the difference. LED TVs compared: Local dimming, edge-lit, and full array |
