Ferrari To Auction first F12berlinetta To Support U.S. Superstorm Relief

On the 17th of November Ferrari will be auctioning the first F12berlinetta to be delivered to a customer in North America to raise funds for relief efforts in the wake of the Hurricane Sandy superstorm.

The auction is due to take place in Austin, Texas on Saturday the 17th of November at 8:00 (central standard time) during a special Ferrari event to commemorate the return of Formula 1 racing to North America. Coming under the hammer will be the very first client F12berlinetta to be consigned in 2013. The car will be autographed by the Scuderia Ferrari drivers and will come with a special dedication plate. Along with the car, the winning bidder will also be able to take part in an exclusive Ferrari Corso Pilota driving course.

Ferrari has also asked clients and enthusiasts alike all around the world to provide further assistance by making donations directly to the Red Cross by using a dedicated section of the Red Cross web site: https://american.redcross.org/ferrari. All proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross to assist the areas affected by the superstorm.

Okay, how much does everyone think this will pull in? I'm going to guess somewhere in the $2m range.

Based upon their top clients and for the sake of some serious PR for the company and the F1 race in the US --- i would HOPE a lot more than that.

How about $10 Million? $15?

10m no way.

1-3 is realistic, it might be worth 10m in 75yrs

Shelby Mustangs at Barrett Jackson go for well over 1MM to benefit the US Army or different charities......surely a big baller Ferrari guy can get more than that at an F1 race? no?!

Definitely not 10m, that's ridiculous. I agree with TYC, maybe in a few decades but not today. I will put it between $3 and $4m.

Sent from my communicator.

TheStigSC 11-13-2012 04:06 PM

No more than $5M and I think even that is ambitious.

Enrique 11-14-2012 02:02 AM
