1990 Porsche Carrera 4 Exterior Detail Recently completed detail @ my shop, this vehicle came to me thru one of the guys who work @ Premier(Greg) as he is a family friend. Pretty well cared for Porsche for it's age and had a paint to match color according to the client(90's Corvette hue). When the client brought the car for a estimate he thought there was not much I could do to improve the finish............... he knows different as of today(lol). Here I am prepping the areas to be wrapped by Premier. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...2-26-11008.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...2-26-11016.jpg Finish corrected and finished down with no LSP for the best result in the film install. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...2-26-11026.jpg Over @ Premier for them to "Do what they do"..... http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...2-26-11028.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...2-26-11029.jpg Back @ my shop after the film install, after a good wash/clay procedure here is the beginning of the paint correction stage, also few water spots to take care of. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11001.jpg 50/50's of the engine cover. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11005.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11007.jpg Reverse angle. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11008.jpg Rear bumper. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11011.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11015.jpg Entire bumper corrected. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11016.jpg Drivers rear quarter before. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11020.jpg After. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11021.jpg This finish was a re-spray, as the client told me the car was damaged as new and PNA re-painted it when they were located in Reno NV. Very nice paint but a few issues I cleared up such as shrink and wetsanding scratches/tracers in a few spots like here under the drivers door handle. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11022.jpg After correction. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...43-1-11025.jpg Part of this job was to correct and restore the trim which was "Dryness" after 21 years..... http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-3-11/001.jpg Mirrors were the worst. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-3-11/007.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-3-11/008.jpg After a lot of tedious cleaning....before dressing was applied. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-3-11/010.jpg Dressing applied for a satin non-greasy finish. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-3-11/018.jpg |
Nearing completion. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/002.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/003.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/005.jpg Time for a few sun pics. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/006.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/007.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/008.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/009.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/010.jpg Trim looking good in the sun. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/011.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/012.jpg "Client" making sure everything was up to standard.......and shocked his Porsche looked this good again. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/p...3-4-11/013.jpg |

x2 what was used to clean it and restore it, looks like it did a GREAT job. |
Great work! I wonder how old the wax build-up on that mirror trim was? It looked like it had been that way for a long time. You turned a good car into a show car. ;) |
