Detailer's Domain: Porsche 911 CS - New Car Paint Correction
 

New Porsche 911 CS Correction.

I got a call from my customer telling me he just got a new 911 CS and asked me to take a look at it, I guess to my surprise I got a pretty swirled/hologram imperfect new 911! It always surprises me that dealers selling cars can do this, I feel its the dealers' job to present a perfectly prepped new car to a customer in fact they should do this for pre-owned cars as well.

Enough ranting, here is the write up.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down
- Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Paint inspected and measured
- Wheel Wells were cleaned and dressed
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- 3 Step Paint correction (Meguiars M105 with an Uber Yellow, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with an Uber Green and Menzerna PO85RD with an Uber Blue)
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Last Step - Menzerna Power Lock
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Engine Cleaned up and dressed

Wow! I'm always amazed at those 50/50 shots. And, thanks again for reminding me that I'll never own a black 911 ever again...:p

I'm always amazed at the amount of swirls in new car paint, but luckily you guys are around to bring the cars to better than when they left the factory. The black looks great. All it needs are some clear side markers.
