Detailer's Domain: 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo
 

This is one of my favorite cars of all time, its just a classic car that still looks great today.
My customer just picked up this car and its perfect, however the paint was a bit different. He brought it to us to get it up to par with the rest of the car.

What was done -
Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash and washed down
- Wheel wells were spritzed down with P21S Total Autowash
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Clayed
- Dried
- Paint inspected and measured
- Wheels were protected with Swissvax Autobahn
- Wheel Wells were cleaned and dressed with Adam's Undercarriage Spray
- Tires dressed with Swissvax Pneu
- Masking
- 2 Step Paint correction (Meguiars M105 with an Uber Yellow, Menzerna Super Intensive Polish with an Uber Green and Menzerna PO85RD with an Uber Blue)
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Menzerna Power Lock followed by Lusso Oro
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned

Interior Detail

- All interior surfaces cleaned and protected, including glass, and all
vinyl/plastic surfaces.
- Carpets and upholstery vacuumed.

How do you correct tight areas like the wing right above? Or lets say around the door handles.
Which size of pad do you use?
How do you not leave compound residue etc..?

good question.

a ton of masking and rinsing the final product give us a residue free car.

there really isn't much to prevent it with compound and polishing you will get dust. the best thing is to rinse it.

as for as tight areas you will go by hand.

the wing was done with a 4 inch pad.

Phil can anything be done to those seats to make them look new again or once that supple gets cracking that's it for them?

comfort seats are the worse seats to get to look like new on P-cars.
