Premier Diamond Cut IR Tint

Premier Diamond Cut IR Tint - exclusive to Premier only. We contracted a window film manufacturer to create a product that not only meets our standards, but also exceeds the specs to all other tint on the market.

It produces maximum heat rejection (even superior to ceramic) with 0 metal imprints in the polyester or adhesive. This means, you will not see a decrease in your wireless signals such as:

1. keyless entry
2. AM / FM
3. radar detectors
4. cell phones
5. etc.

Here are some shots of our new Diamond Cut IR film applied to the windows of a E90 M3 at 32% VLT (visible light transmission). We are using a E92 M3 with clear glass to give an accurate assessment of how well our tint compares

Clear Glass - in 2 minutes time, the surface temperature of the rear deck registers at 114 degrees

Diamond Cut IR Tint - in 2 minutes 44 seconds, the surface temperature registers at 102 degrees (a 12 degree difference in just 2.5 minutes)

Clear Glass - 9 minutes 14 seconds rear decklid temperature rises to 150 degrees

Diamond Cut IR Tinted - 10 minutes 11 seconds, rear deck lid temperate is at 114 degrees (36 degree difference in surface temperature)

We also placed our Diamond Cut IR 62% up against a 5% limo tint. Some of our techs believed the film at 62% cannot stack up to a limo shade, but they were wrong!

Our display is set up so that we can slide a piece of glass that is pretinted into the box where a heat lamp emits heat from the top of the box.

You will notice that the limo tint (5%) blocks off much of the energy produced by the heat lamp. However, our Diamond Cut 62% tint outperforms it by a significant margin

The BTU meter measures amount of solar energy or heat transfer through the object.

Not a complete test until we compare it to ceramic window tint

Huper 50 and Diamond Cut IR

1. Without glass, BTU registers a 340

2. Huper 50% - 166

3. Diamond Cut IR 62% - 28

Here are some shots of a '10 911 with our Diamond Cut IR tint installed. 63% for the front two windows and 50% for the rear three. There is plenty of information on our product in pages prior to this post. A quick synapse:

1. 94% infrared rejection (most ceramic tint only offers up to 78% infrared blockage).
2. 94% infrared rejection regardless of tint shade.
3. 10-15 degrees difference in cabin temperature compared to other high end tint.

Specs again to the film:
1. 94% infrared rejection compared to 75%-80% of ceramic tint
2. 0% metals that impede on wireless transmission signals (especially for BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes for their keyless entry systems)

Nice. Do customers get busted for tinting the front windows in CA though?

Any comparison of v cool vs your film in sunlight? I think IR light is not representative of real sun light right?

With our 50%, 63% or 73% light transmission films, no we have not seen anyone get tickets. As for Vkool, it is a multi-layered product that does have metals embedded in its construction. This is how this product is capable of rejecting much heat. However, with current vehicles' technology (keyless entry in particular), it poses much of a problem. In addition, Vkool's product is really not designed for curved application. If you contact any Vkool dealer regarding application, they will likely perform a multi-pc application on the rear window due to curvature or offer a different tint manufacturer for the rear only.

As for IR, it represents part of the solar spectrum (approximately 55%-60%). The remaining that builds heat would be visible light and UV. Measurement with IR rejection is a universal method that we can use as a constant for product performance.

Looks great guys! I just had my windows tinted with a similar film and it really is amazing how much heat it blocks out!

Again, here are the benefits of Diamond Cut IR over the competition:

1. 94% of infrared rejection vs. Ceramics at 75%-80%
2. 99.5% of uv blockage
3. The product consists of 0% metal substrates vs. multiply metallized ceramics.
4. the film will not affect comfort access (or the equivalent of keyless entry), am / fm, radar, etc.

Many have asked us how the product compares to ceramic tint. Here, we have a popular 50% ceramic tint to be compared to Diamond Cut IR 50%.

Heat lamp measures in at over 400 degrees Fahrenheit

With a heat lamp running at 400+ degrees, here are the results:

Ceramic (tint to the right side) - 2 minutes 52 seconds, temperature rises from 67 degrees to 80 degrees

Diamond Cut (tint to the left side) - 3 minutes 1 second, temperature rises from 67 degrees to 71 degrees

***9 degree improvement
