what's the best clearbra for white cars?
 

just as the title states what's the best clear bra for white cars? I've had 3m before and it turned yellow in about 2years. what about venture shield? did 3m buy venture shield? need some answers please!

For white vehicles, what matters most is actually the type of cleaner used: These are the two products that are designed specifically for that purpose. Apply a coat of our Crystalline line every 2-3 weeks (depending on how dirty the vehicle gets) and will prevent this from happening on a white vehicle.

Does this discoloration happen on all cars but most noticeable on white cars?

This is an effect we call the "clearcoat" effect. The more clear applied to white the yellower it gets. This is why the factory pieces from Porsche are already yellowish as soon as it is applied. This is due to the thickness of the clear urethane used. Another good example of it is if you take a look at the bumper and fenders of a white vehicle, the bumper always look yellower than the fender. This is due to how the paint reacts to aluminum vs. plastic. However, if the film is turning banana yellow, this is due to the following:

1. Usage of a yellow paste wax
2. Usage of heavy petroleum based products
3. non-clear coated film applied onto the paint vs. a clearcoated film (cleared films are more durable)
4. Usage of Plexus
5. Film is never washed / sealed - the film does need maintenance

I recommend you use Venture Shield on a white vehicle, as it tends to not yellow as badly as the 3M. On a white car I also HIGHLY recommend you wrap entire panels, like hood, fenders, etc. Even Venture Shield can look yellow if it only covers 1/3 of the hood.
