2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo 9500ci Install by Ai Design http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...enneOpener.jpg "We were excited to finally get our hands on a brand new 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo so we could get a closer look at Porsche's newly re-designed SUV. Some of us here at the shop had some prior reservations about the Cayenne's new exterior styling, however, like it or not, in person the truck really does stand out. This particular vehicle came to us for an integrated 9500ci set up. Feel free to take a look at the install below. http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7395.JPG http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7394.JPG It's obvious with one glance that the interior of the Cayenne is influenced heavily by many of the design elements found within the Panamera sedan. This was great news as we were able to easily adapt our signature Panamera 9500ci/V1 pod to work with the Cayenne with just a couple of minor changes. Construction of the pod is very similar, with the display being made of hand polished smoked acrylic for a discreet apperance when powered off, while the finished unit is then similarly wrapped in specially split European black leather to match the vehicle's original trim. Placement of the pod is also located in essentially the same position, which special care taken to adapt the pod to mount directly abouve the vehicle's rearview mirror. Again, similar to the Panamera, the pod is easily removable, should one need to service that particular area of the truck. http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7399.JPG http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7397.JPG The unit's control module was carefully located into the vehicle's ashtray. This is usually our preferred area of choice to locate the control module as it can be easily concealed by shutting the ashtray lid and does not require and permanent modification to the vehicle. In this case, the ashtray was just big enough to house both the control module and the power on/off switch. http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7387.JPG http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7381.JPG http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7393.JPG http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7377.JPG Installation of the foward and rear facing laser shifters was very straight forward. The Cayenne's large front grille provided ample room to easily mount the forward facing laser shifters, while special care was taken to mount the rear facing laser shifter to the lower portion of the rear bumper directly underneath the license plate." http://aidesign.com/uploads//Blog/Pe...l/DSC_7385.JPG |
very professional stealthy install |
Outstanding install. However mounting Escort ZR4 laser jammers on a car of that size is like bringing knives to a gun fight. It doesn't stand a chance. This car needs a Laser Interceptor for the jammers. |
Looks great, very clean and much needed on the turbo haha |
