Porsche Boxster GTS & Cayman GTS Spotted Testing

As the new 911 Targa is making headlines from Detroit, Porsche is about to add spiced-up Boxster and Cayman models to the line-up, and our trusty spies have caught them testing the first prototypes.

Up front we can see both GTS models will get a newly styled, more aggressive front bumper, and the Cayman GTS shows new LED running lights. At the rear of both models the only visible difference we can spot is a newly styled rear valance.

The more important news is that the GTS models should get a 15-20hp bump, standard PASM damping control, and an upgraded steering wheel and leather interior. A set of 20-inch wheels should also be standard on the GTS, but the test cars in our photos are wearing 19's to accommodate the winter tires.

Watch for the official debut of the GTS models later this spring or summer.

If they look anything like the facelifted Panamera GTS, I'll be very happy. This new 918 design language is simply beautiful.

Any other updates on these cars? A Cayman GTS would be so nice. I would like it with the following:

- agressive front and rear bumpers
- unique to it wheels (not turbo wheels)
- alcantara interior bits all over
- a powerkit that gives it a REAL bump in power of the S
- the tranny from the 991 GT3 for those that want PDK
- standard sport exhaust

How about you guys? Any must-have features of the GTS?

That PDK transmission probably costs as much as a cayman to build.

All but the fire part. I like your specs, but you aren't getting the big power bump unless you think 5-10 HP is big.

Yea thats what i fear. 10 more hp is what my R has over an S and it would have been nice if it was a bit more. Oh well. If i wanted a big HP i wouldnt be driving a Cayman anyways....
