and depending on the PIC some of them were badly screwed :)

The (older) guys who flew the 3 holer always told stories about the bird and making a soft landing required some good skills....I think it was the check and roll manouver.

anyway..

Today I saw a similar N- registrated 727 private jet sitting at the apron her in Munich

I really don`t know why people go for such an aircraft instead of the newer more refined looking,better performing and easier to maintain models.
(assumed money is less of an object)

It a 727 thats not a big deal. Most commercial stuff goes hundreds of thousands of hours.
