That's a myth. the problem is that at higher altitudes there is a great pressure differential between cabin pressure and the actual pressure outside the cabin. As everything in nature strives for balance,the air wants to expand to compensate the pressure difference : which means that the cabin expands too...and in case of a sudden compression this might be ugly now imagine something exploding in there...like hot air expanding rapidly..doh..no fun:D thanks Gobbles,that`s a very interesting pic |
