Images confirm 2-Piece roof as previously reported
Judging from what we can see in the spy photos we can confirm that the Aventador Roadster will feature a two piece removable targa roof. Also a new engine cover specific for this model can be seen from this latest batch of spy photos.
From what we can see an unveiling at the Paris motor Show is possible, but could be delayed until Geneva in March. All specs should match the coupe.
Stay tuned for more soon!

Unnecessary if true. It already surpasses (by miles) the F12 in the looks department.

I think it is strange they are hardly covering the car and roof ... but still heavily tape the section just behind the roof panels in front of the engine cover ... which leads me to think about it ... what if Lamborghini isn't storing the two carbon fiber roof panels up front in the luggage compartment, but instead have a mechanism that 'slides' those sections over the engine cover for storage when driving open.
That would not really be innovative (the Diablo Roadster stored the roof there too) but it would look amazing, and could be powered for ease of use ... fortunately we aren't getting a piece of cloth over a frame like on the Murciélago here ... this dual panel setup looks very good in fact.
