Lamborghini "Cabrera LP600-4" Speculation Thread
#71
80kgs lighter than the 570SL eh?
That's it, I'm going into the garage tomorrow morning and stripping sh!t off the Gallardo. At least that has a proper manual.
While I'm a little surprised with how soon this car is coming out, somehow the "hype" around the 560/570 cars hasn't lasted as long as I expected so something is needed to recaptivate people (other than 47 more "special editions")

All the pictures of the Ferrari 458 and the new 458 Spider makes me think of the Gallardo succesor. They really need to come up with something special at Lamborghini.
The fact that the 458 is a HUGE succes will mean that we will not see the "Cabrera" sometime soon. I think that the 2014 mentioned elsewhere is realistic.

I can confirm that the Cabrera will be out in 2013, likely as a MY2014 car. I'm also told that it will make the Aventador look tame (*gulp*). Also, if we think they'll use a CF tub like the Aventador (logical considering their investment) then those 80KG lighter than SL might not be crazy. Heck, that's 250kg heavier than a Sesto, so it's definitely doable from an economic standpoint..

From what I heard, Lp700 sounds good once it gets goubg.

As for the A cars, plenty are coming out of the factory. I've seen the assembly lines a few times (they stopped charging me admission ) and have also seen the ACRC where they make the chassis. It's impressive.
I actually stumbled across an LP700 while walking around Modena one day. Amazingly it happened to be escorted by someone I'd never met but had as a contact on asmallworld.
Oh, And I hear more burbly V8 noises. I live 2 minutes from the Maserati factory, so that's kind of the neighbourhood's soundtrack

Ya, sort of kept to the "other" forum lately. Need to make an effort!
