New Lambo concept teased
Lamborghini has released the first teaser picture of a new concept car for the Paris motor show that will preview the all-new Murcielago.
Lamborghini plans release an additional five teaser images in the build up to the car’s official launch on 30 September.
Autocar understands the concept will feature extensive use of carbonfibre in its bodywork (which can be seen in the teaser image) and chassis as part of Lamborghini’s plans to reduce weight and cut emissions and reduce weight across its supercar range.
The new Murcielago itself is expected to be launched at the Geneva motor show in spring 2011.
The four-wheel drive supercar will have a bespoke carbon composite chassis and a brand new 7.0-litre V12 engine, rumoured to have between 700-720bhp.
Lamborghini sources have previously told Autocar that the target weight of the new Murcielago is less than 1500kg. The firm wants its 0-62mph time to be close to 3.0sec and 0-100mph should take around 6.0sec. The firm has ruled a DSG transmission because it would be “too complex and too expensive” to engineer.

So I can't resisit to post some sure facts I got.
First of all - this will be the technology concept showcase not the ready production car. Ready production Murcielago successor will be presented at Geneva auto show 2011. Selected customers and dealers will get an exclusive factory visist where they will view the car before all others. Deliveries will start in the end of the March, right after Geneva. Yes, its a huge step forward with many latest and greatest things in it. Yes, the car will feature all-new CF monocoque. Other things I can't reveal as for now.
