Lamborghini's Gallardo replacement Cabrera to possibly pack 600HP

Autoblog reports via Automobile-magazine.fr that we can expect the Gallardo replacement (The Cabrera) to feature composite construction to help reduce the car's weight, while a new version of the Gallardo's V10 engine could boost output up to 600 metric horsepower. Expect the tentatively-dubbed Cabrera LP600-4 to debut sometime next year. We'll just have to stay tuned for more info to come!

I doubt this car can do anything the MP4 doesn't already do.

I read an article about a year ago quoting Lambo as saying that going above 500 hp was not necessary and that they were moving away from hp gains and towards light weight materials.

I scoffed then and I was right.

I highly doubt that it will be called the Cabrera, considering how secretive they were with the Aventador name. However, it sure sounds promising!
