Can Lambo's come into Canada now?? I just checked out of curiousity...updated Feb 25/09. LAMBORGHINI 1999 TO 2009 From September 1st, 1999: All models (see note 1). All other models. See explanations section. Note 1: Please be informed that Lamborghini Canada requires that all importers contact Lamborghini Canada to determine the exact nature and costs of modifications. The modifications vary by year and model and may be expensive. The possible modifications may include: daytime running lights, electronic immobilization system, metric odometre and speedometer labels. All modifications must be performed and documented by an authorized Canadian Lamborghini retailer and must be completed before a recall clearance letter can be issued by Lamborghini Canada. Please submit all inquires in writing to: compliance@lamborghini.ca |
Yaaaaaaaaaay! Although since Lambo Canada is the three Lambo dealers in the country, they'll probably charge you a billion just to call them. And then sell you a Diablo for 400k. |

It's not 100% true that the modifications have to be done by a Canadian Lamborghini retailer. If the vehicle already conforms to all of Canada's laws, then they can't stop you from bringing the vehicle into the country. Since bumpers don't need to be modified, all you need is Daytime Running Lights, Child Tether and that's it. Since all Lambo's starting in 09 have DRL and pretty much all Gallardo's and Murcielagos have Child tethers, there needs to be no conversion. We've exported and will export any 99-09 Lamborghini to Canada. We have someone up there who works with RIV and Transport Canada to get everything approved before you even have to go through the border. In fact, we're working on an LP640 deal as we speak to get it up to Toronto. |
