FOR SALE: My Blakt Out 997S with all the mods.

OCTOBER 25, 2009: PRICE REDUCED $67,500

I've got to sell my baby. Things are changing for me, and I need to make this difficult choice. This picture was taken yesterday after a run on the Tail of the Dragon/Deal's Gap.

Here's the sticker:

As you can see, the car stickered at $94,675. I bought it new, and didn't get much off of this price at all.

This is the car that won the shootout for Excellence Magazine in April 2009 versus a high HP 997TT, a modded Cayman S, and a modded GT3, and subsequently was placed front and center on the cover of that mag.

As you might imagine, there's a ton of money in upgrades on this car. I will list those out here, but I want to point out that there's probably $30K in labor & fabrication done by Synergy Racing. I'm sure Kerrigan Smith will be willing to answer any and all questions that one might have. He and his team know the car very intimately.

This car is very, very good on the road. It doesn't ride too rough, unless you adjust the suspension to be that way. Evertything is totally adjustable. This car is amazing. I have taken much care of it, but I also have driven this car with the goal that it teach me to be a better driver.

The car is in excellent condition. The windshield has specks in it, but otherwise, it's excellent.

In this list of upgrades, I will be estimating what the actual cost of each item is, not including the install, setup, shake down costs that I have already mentioned. However, that $30K is very real, as it is wise to invest in expert setup of expensive adjustable parts to be sure to get the most out of them. Again, this car can carry speeds through a turn that will boggle your mind.

The supercharger is no longer on the car. It was giving my catalytic converters trouble with the added heat, which gave my engine troubles. I replaced the engine with a new one from Porsche at 26K miles, which was 1K miles ago. The block is still shiny clean.

So, now for the fun part.

These cars, if my quick look on eBay gave me good info, bring around $55K-$60K now with my amount of miles. Maybe more, maybe less. Right?

I've also always heard that, if upgrades are tastefully done, one can hope to get 33%-50% for them when they sell. If you've got your calculator out mine come up to almost $60,000, plus approx $30K in all the installs, setups, tuning, etc. But being extremely conservative, if I only got 33% of my upgrades, not including any of the actual installs (which are very substantial and I hired the best in the business)... PLUS not giving me any money for the car being a magazine cover car... it should be worth $75K.

I'll take that amount.

This 997 drives, sounds, and looks the part. I might add the owner is really cool too!

I'd buy it right now if I could.
