Aston Martin reveals the 'new' DB9
From Aston's Facebook page and a new splash site:
Sooooo, it's a Virage then. This is rather confusing.

Yeah, this is very confusing. So Aston release last week that the Virage is ending production, and now they reveal this 'new' DB9 which is identical.
I hear that there will even be a 'Virage Pack' for this DB9 taking it up to the old Virage power levels.
I'm a HUGE Aston supporter, but I think they've lost the plot with this...

Indeed - the spec wasn't available when I posted the pics.
So it's a Virage, on a Vanquish chassis with DBS power and bootlid.
I'd imagine those who bought a Virage are going to be pretty pissed that you can now get their car, lighter, with more power for £18,000 less.
Ouch.
I take back what I said about thinking AM have lost the plot. The new range is now much simpler, though I wish they'd just called it an upgraded Virage for 2013 MY. That would have made more sense and I prefer the Virage name, it gives the range a nice flow:
Vantage, Virage, Vanquish.

Wow. If you hadn't seen any Astons before and saw this as your first view, I think I'd think this was one of the most beautiful cars I'd ever seen.
I mean just look at it:
Honestly, who cares if it's derivative, it's utterly beautiful and will sound amazing.
Many ask why don't they change the styling - how do you improve on perfection? And why would you bother?
