I have spent some time in a V6 3.0 awd, don't really like the gear box (5-speed stick), the gastank is way too small for that car and it doesent feel as sporty as the BMW E46 330.

While it is "just a Ford" underneath, that's not a bad deal.

Get it! We had an 02, with the 3.0 in it and it is an excellent daily car.

Obviously a bit of snobbery will raise its head, but I can personally tell you that it is a great car, and we have been extremely satisfied by it.

People can get snotty and say it's "just a Ford". Well, I'm okay with that on two counts. I happen to like Ford very much, so great! Two, if the it's "just a Ford" has to do with the cost of parts, well then, it is very much the Jaguar; because those parts departments will kill you on service. Fortunately, the car is easy to work on.

are you saying that you can't find a similar 325i for the same price?
I can find a similar 325i, yes, but they're all really high mileage cars... Usually 140k plus...
Theres nothing else on the market with AWD that is comparable in price. Audi, maybe, but I would have to buy a much older model. And all things considered the Audi's aren't really anything special and they have their own set of problems...

I like the CLK's, BUT unfortunately I need to buy a 4 door car (getting ready for a car seat). If I was buying a 2 door car things would be completely different, and I would be looking at some different cars altogether. The E class Mercedes is ok, but if it came down to it I would buy a 5 series or 7 series (which my wife drives now) BMW instead. However I was looking at the C & E class AMG cars. Very nice cars, and seem to be a pretty fair price for what you get.

Yes, it is really $6500, and its a 2002.
There are several on the market for $5k to $9k.
