CF tunnel kills it. That Landaulet looks like something else. |
I was loving it until I saw the modern interior bits... what a letdown. There's a GORGEOUS race version of the DBR3 in the Portola Hotel sharing space with a yellow Enzo, blue/silver Veyron, a BRG Jag C-type, and a couple of other cars. If I can get a pic later, I will. |
so the threads have started.. i'm so jealous of all of you. |
Were those Herman Miller Aerlion chairs put into that thing? :beingsick: |
I am less annoyed now that I read the whole story on Autoblog - it's a full CF recreation. I thought it was someone's idiotic idea of a restoration. It's still not my cup of tea, but it's not horrendous. |
I saw it outside Cibo's on Saturday and it wasn't half bad, imo. I like that it has the DBR2 cues but takes it in a new direction. |
That landaulet does look out of this world. This car is awesome for what it is. I thought it was supposed to be a replica also and was like wtf but after reading more about it I like it...I am also so jealous of you guys that are out there. |
I also saw it parked on the street in Monterey. It reminded me of the old saying "good from far, but far from good." It looks great when you first see it from a distance, but upon close inspection the blend of the old school style with new technology just does not work on this particular car. |
