On American-spec Porsches, for example, there's a "bump" on either side of the license plate, and seeing as this AM didn't have any, I though at first it was Euro-spec, but with American bumpers. Now I just realised that the only cars to have the "bumps" next to the plate in the US is those where the plate is mounted on the bumper. Those with plates on the bootlid don't have any.
