I saw that... But it doesnt have the same hood as the V12, so I assumed it was a Standard Vantage...

Hot stuff.

Love white A-M's. Too bad they couldn't cool the V12 vantage engine without making the hood look like it's competing with the Saleen S7 for highest number of vent fins...

I suspect that this has nothing to do with thermal properties, and everything to do with market positioning.

I'm sure it's actually a combination of both. Personally, I really like the louvers regardless of how well they help to cool the engine.

Could the Vantage be a new N400 edition or something? It definitely has a different front bumper than any production Vantage I've seen yet.

I definitely think there's cooling going on b/c there's some serious heat that comes from the 2 on my DB9. With even tighter packaging in the Vantage they probably needed even more venting. I'm sure plenty of hot air gets sucked out of there as vehicle speed increases and the slipstream goes right over the top. Not an engineer or aeronautical type, just a guess.

In all seriousness, I appreciate that they probably have a thermal purpose; I just don't think they're a very elegant solution to the need for bonnet vents.
