IWork or MS office for mac.. which is better

Ive always used MS office for all my business stuff. Now I have a mac and Im trying to decide which would work best. MS office for Mac or Iwork? Since I have a bunch of word and excel stuff already will it work on Iwork or should I play it safe with MS office for mac? Id like to use Iwork since Ive grown tired of MS but if it doesnt do what I need then what?

Any suggestions? What works, what doesnt?

I prefer iWork, but if the majority of users who will view/ edit whatever you create are using Office, use Office. The formatting is different

i use MSOffice simply because everyone you send things to use office.

Google Apps. Not everything converts 1000% from those aforementioned but it's solid. Don't have a ton of experience w/ the word equivalent but the spreadsheets are great.

Mac fan boy here, MS Office without question.

I prefer MS Office on my Mac as well.

Agreed with last three
Tried using iWork, wasn't quite up to snuff.
Still keep a few files on that side
MSOffice versatility just can't be beat IMO

iWork suite is nice, but it can't compete. MS office is the way to go because it's what everyone uses. There are a few glitches on Mac, but it's still better.

I will say of you ever need to make impressive presentations, keynote is 100x better than PowerPoint. As long as the computer you'll be using has keynote or you can use your own, otherwise exporting as a PowerPoint just doesn't work.

I prefer iWork mostly because its much easier to use, more features, and all ms office files convert perfectly for editing/viewing/etc. so I wouldn't worry about different formats, I've been using it for about two years now and love it.

It's actually frustrating to go back and use ms office because it feels like I'm going back so far in terms of tech advancements.
