Best way to clean greasy Macbook pro keys? My new MBP with black keys really shows how oily my hands must be most of the time. I wipe it down with a damp MF clotch once a week, but even after that there are still small shiny spots on the spacebar. What should I use to completely remove any oils? |

Do you also get dirt from the keyboard transferring to the screen when you close it?! Drives me insane and no idea how to stop it! Chris |
The keys are porous, so once you get oil on them, you're unlikely to get it out without popping all the keys off and cleaning them with a mild solvent. The damp microfiber method is the correct one. You could also try a mild citrus cleaner, though I would remove the keyboard prior to trying it. |

Thanks Simba, I'll try a diluted citrus cleaner. Someone on a forum suggested a Magic Eraser, but that seems like it could be damaging over time. I'll probably clean it thoroughly, then add a Moshi ClearGuard. |
Stop ejaculating on the keyboard. |

Get an iSkin keyboard cover. It's really helped. |
90% bathroom (rubbing) alcohol and a QTip. Works like a charm. |
