They are cool, until you have to lug it somewhere. Heavy and large, and even in business class it can be a PITA. They certainly have the horsepower to do damn near anything you need them to do though.

I had a 12" powerbook and carried it with me all the time in my backpack - great little thing, loved it to death. Recently I bought a MBP. Still carrying it in my backpack (with a sleeve) and honestly dont find a difference unless its the only thing in the pack.
Obviously it depends on how you carry it/who is useing it, but for me I did'nt notice the extra 2 lbs of weight, and Im sure I woul not notice another extra 17oz's of weight as well.
YMMV though as always.

I had a 12" powerbook and carried it with me all the time in my backpack - great little thing, loved it to death. Recently I bought a MBP. Still carrying it in my backpack (with a sleeve) and honestly dont find a difference unless its the only thing in the pack.

Expose and 15inches = perfect. (and I have done video editing etc on it)
