Its a shame to see an amazing piece of machinery reduced to a mere "status symbol" and even worse, customized in ways that make it flashy, and yet even worse, hinder its performance with ugly, heavy rims and ridiculous "rubber band" tires.

I can drive karts, but I have no idea how they compare to actual cars.

if you can handle a proper kart (not the electric ones at speedzone mind you) any car will feel like you're driving through treacle. its the most fun you can have on 4 wheels.

I thought the Danes only had Toyotas that were at least 20 years old. Your opinion is useless.

Tell me the last time you saw a celebrity (besides true enthusiasts like Jerry Seinfel) driving around in 965 3.6? No, you haven't. Because it's not the latest and greatest, and in terms of status for a celebrity doesn't do much. I bet half of the celebrity Porsche owners can't even pronounce Porsche correctly, or identify a Porsche 928

I bet if anyone on here at Teamspeed had the money of these celbrities, their garages would be filled with cars like the 356 and the 288 GTO. At least I know mine would.
Buying a fancy car does not require passion - it requires money. It's unfair for you to generalize that celebs don't have any passion for cars or don't know how to drive based on your preconceived notion of what they do for a living.

That just makes you seem like you have a very negative attitude towards anyone but yourself.

For all we know, this kid and many others have more passion about these cars than we do. Just because they're celebs - does not mean they're incompetent. They're several magnitude times more successful than the majority of us posters - so they gotta be doing something right.
