6-Disk CD Changer: Are they all this terrible or just mine?? (NWS)

So I've been driving the 996TT all day running errands and have been reminded that the 6 disk CD changer is an absolute P.O.S. My question is whether others have experienced this or it is just my car? Just wondering if there is something I can do to fix this. Maybe clean it out with compressed gas duster as used for a computer or rifle?

It seems like the sound quality is usually terrible and it can't play anything with the smallest scratch in it.

Thanks in advance--JC

Nope, it's yours. I have had several in different Pcars and never had any issues.

Am I the only one seeing this pic in JC's post (or is this another TS glitch)? If I'm not the only one, why are we still talking about iPods and CD changers... we should be busy REPPING him!

Maybe I can get somebody to buy this old turbo and then can upgrade to a pcar with iPod connection. By the way, an interesting comment from someone who let's his wife determine what cars he can buy
