I think this has to do with the fact that the centerlock option is only a adaptation to the standard 5 lug setup (sort of like a really big spacer) and thus no possibility for concave wheels

So this is not the same mechanism as the Carrera GT's?

not reading up on it to much, I dont believe so, as the CGT's brakes were different and thus developed from the start to be CL
