Scuderia values?

saw a thread regarding this over on fchat. pretty interesting market on scuds. selling for under 200k now, dealers offering 160ish for 08's and 180ish for 09's on trade. 30-40% drop in 18 months. market saturation? 458 effect? did they simply make too many or was the price too high to begin with?

don't get me wrong, love these cars but with CS's asking prices nearing 100k and 16M's taking big hits (270ish) as well i suppose im just a bit surprised they fell so far so fast.

anybody have an idea what the production numbers are on the scud? 3000-4000?

Bad economy and credit is tight.

Also, the Scud isn't for everyone. It is almost a niche car.

What's interesting too is how the standard F430s are holding value.

Hard to understand.

i have seen some 430's priced reasonably close to scuds! madness!

h20skier 03-15-2011 03:06 AM

Scud numbers just over 3k.

All cars have dumped. Its a bad economy.

What would be a fair price for me to pay for a mint one owner '08 F430 F1 Spider with 2800 miles ?

Original MSRP about 262k

Private seller with 18 months warranty left

Triple Black

Thanks

They are selling for 150k here in the Middle East.

I've been watching the UK market closely:

Before the 458 came out there were circa 9 for sale.

As of today there's 30 for sale ranging from 120k (asking) all the way up to 175k (though this is a well known car which is a problem - huge spec and client failed to take delivery). As a comparison there are 44, 430 Coupes for sale...that is unbelievable!

The avg asking price here is now 135k and I haven't seen many move at that price. I know of a couple that have sold lately for 125k with 3000 miles on the clock.

I am keeping my eye on the market but i have to admit: things seem pretty dire within the economy, the market is saturated with Scuds here and they're not moving at the current prices. I am a potential buyer and the concerns i have are similar to most: cash is king and i intend on keeping myself in the same very solid position: I don't want to put money into a car right now. Also as Dana said, credit is tight and lending options are fairly abysmal.

With that said, if a yellow or Avio scud comes up at a reasonable price i'll jump on it without thinking.

Same is happening here. They are selling here at $300k USD. Regular 430's are selling about 20k below that. Retail here new was $580k USD.

I can't speak for the rest of the world but I think there are a couple things at work starting with the production numbers being in the thousands. Definitely more of a niche car as Barrister said. I know of a couple that were traded on 458s or put up for sale by people waiting on the used 458 market to pick up - so there is certainly the 458 effect. I don't think the economy is as much of an issue as it is certainly better now than it was a year or 6mos ago.

I would have figured one TDF blue car would have swayed you for life.

Not bad choices regardless.
