430 Spider to 16M look conversion 4 Attachment(s) Interesting thread I stumbled upon on fchat and thought I would share. Purists will shun this but I actually think it came out great. Member 430sp over there noted this was a costly conversion b/w all orig parts and the addition of a Capristo setup. Seems the difficult part of this conversion was the modifying of the rear to accommodate the Scuderia exhaust setup. |
I'm not sure what it is but it just doesn't look quite right in the front. Also, he must've used the wrong kind of fastener for the mesh on the back because I see a few rusty bits back there. Any idea what the whole kit cost? I'm betting he's not too far off from being able to snag a real 16M when it was all said and done. |
yup the front looks lil off...cant put my finger on it... |
For some reason the whole car looks funky. At least compared to this one http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3114/...b58_z.jpg?zz=1 |
at least it doesnt have the UGLY NA side markers |
Yep, looks odd. I think it's the stance. And something about the headlights - are they darker on the 16M? |

Kind of like a Sl500 with SL65 badging and front bumper. |
OK, I see a few differences: 1. 16M has CF headlights, this one doesn't. 2. 16M has a lower ride height. 3. 16M has different sills that have a more aggressive opening. There could be more differences but these are just the first few that came to mind. I also couldn't tell for sure if this conversion has the CF mirrors and the bigger ducktail on the decklid that the real 16M has. |
Holy rusted rivets Batman! Rust is one thing no ferrari deserves. |
