Porsche Announces Rennsport Sneakers for 75th Anniversary

Just in time to celebrate the seventh Porsche Rennsport Reunion event, Porsche unveils two special event sneakers.

The Porsche Rennsport Reunion is the largest event that any Porsche enthusiast can hope to attend. Held at the equally historic WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, this year’s event happening from September 28 to October 1, is predicted to be the largest yet after the last event in 2018.

Just in time for the event, Porsche teamed up with Puma to make two different versions of a sure-to-be iconic sneaker.

They’re called the Mirage Sport Tech trainer, and they represent a happy marriage between comfort and style. In either black or white, enthusiasts can show off their love for the brand in a way that’s not overly ostentatious.

The trainers feature a docile finish line pattern along the tongue close to the Rennsport logo, keeping the heritage of Porsche at the forefront.

As Porsche said in their official press release announcing the stylish sneaker, “From the race track to the streets, the Rennsport 7 Mirage Sport Tech trainers not only celebrate one of the largest Porsche events, but embody the spirit of racing culture in every stride.”

This year’s event also happens to fall on the year of Porsche’s 75th anniversary as a company, which is all the more reason to celebrate.

Take the celebration with you all the way to Monterey, California by getting yourself a ticket (or two), and a pair of Porsche’s coolest shoe. According to their website, deliveries should be made around September 18 – which makes it even more likely to wear this incredible sneaker to an incredible event. With all the walking involved at Laguna Seca, it’s an ideal pairing.

This isn’t the only way Porsche celebrated 75 years of brilliance, though. Earlier this year Porsche announced a collaboration with Microsoft to organize a giveaway featuring historic Porsche liveries on the consoles.
