What do you mean? It says 100M on the dial (I think)so doesn't that mean water resistant?

Yes. In theory.

But I have heard of a few stories of "100m WR" watches letting in water while diving off the dock, or falling waterskiing. Also, crowns can become dislodged by accident , purely by accident.

I like the assurance of 200m/Screw down crown before I do any activities with a watch in/by the water.

Gotcha! Never actually taken my watches in water so wouldn't have noticed
