Tesla Model S

Tesla says the Model S will get about 240 miles per charge [on lithium-ion batteries] while still offering "exceptional performance." Numbers being bandied about include 0–60 mph in less than 6 seconds. The Model S will have a base price of about $60,000 (versus the Roadster's $109,000 price tag).

For $20K more than the Volt, this looks like a hell of a lot more of a car for the money! Keep up the good work Tesla!

Not a bad price at all for this car. Maybe I should go electric for my new daily driver.

price is bogus! roadster first started around 70-80k i think and then raised to 90k and then 110k by time delivery started.

i expect this to be over 70-80k easily by time its available. with gas price so low these days, i'd be weary of electric car sales.

Who knows where gas will be by the time this car is actually ready for delivery.
