I think your argument is invalid here. GT2RS is a special, limited edition, last of its breed car - thus worth the price tag. The Turbo S is a "normal" production car that doesn't give you the exclusivity or the driving experience of the 2RS.
Just because you can afford it, doesn't mean it isn't over-priced.

Increase in price for 2014: $11,750

Okay, the new 911 Turbo S price bump is a little hefty, but an 8.5 percent bump for the new 911 Turbo is pretty reasonable, considering it's an all-new model with new technologies.
As for those comparisons, well, they're fun to play around with, but ultimately kind of useless. You're just trying to divide down to the lowest common automotive denominator. Why stop at an XJL Supercharged and a Lotus Elise S? For the price of those cars, you could have an Audi A6 Prestige ($56,950), a Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew ($42,320), a Mazda MX-5 Miata Club ($26,705) and a Hyundai Veloster Turbo ($22,100)?
If you keep dividing the value of a car down into lesser models, you always wind up with a garage full of Scions.
(Also: I love me a Range Rover, but I'd take the 911 Turbo S over that and a GT-R any day of the week. Can't stand me a GT-R.)

The 911 Turbo S is the superlative in fastest, most comfortable, daily driver sports car in my opinion. You can argue that for similar money you can get a slightly preowned F car, but it is difficult to drive one of those around every day without attracting the wrong kind of attention. The Turbo S could be your ONLY car, where as anything else with just two seats and more flash would be hard-pressed IMO.
