Chevy Resumes Camaro ZL1 Production

After a three-week delay, GM is finally resuming production of the 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1. The "exact" issue was not revealed but was reported to be a potential software that required GM to test and, if necessary, re-flesh the cars before they were shipped. Customer completed car will be received in approximately 2-3 weeks. There was no estimated delivery dates given for cars still in production.

And that's another negative point for American Car Companies.

I have no doubt that VAG will conquer the market in a decade.

It's sad that they had those problems right out of the box. I guess muscle cars were not meant to grow into the technology age

Lol! If you think American car companies have quality issues you haven't seen anything until you've owned an Audi or VW. They just suck. You need to do some research before you post such a ridiculous comment.

I have had a jetta and a land rover while my dad has had a few grand Cherokees. The foreign cars had more fit and finish, but needed WAY more maintenance. As for Audi, I love them, but my uncle had new a4 and new a6- they were a big headache. I think the new ones are a great improvement as my gf's dad has a 2011 s4 with ~8k miles and it's been clear sailing.

Props to GM for haulting production and fixing the issue before giving the cars to customers and having them back at the dealership. I wish all car companies thought this way.

State owned companies are the best though!!!

GM quality has not improved in my opinion.

While they fixed it at the appropriate time, the masses will likely still think "oh, typical GM", myself included.

Yeah because I'd rather my supercar get built and catch on fire before the manufacturer even admitted there might be a problem. I'm looking at you, Ferrari.

One car was delivered to a customer, he was asked to return the car.
