Did a warm lap in an MP4-12C

Last weekend Monticello opened for one day because of unseasonably nice weather. This was a great opportunity for me to shake down my non-spec Boxster after spending its winter at Deman Motorsport. The car ran great and I shook off the cobwebs from the winter.

There was an MP4-12C at the club. I must say that I found it more attractive in person than many of the pics I had seen before. It was very high on the cool meter. The interior was also really sweet.

I was the passenger in the car for one 'warm' lap around the circuit (i.e. not pushing the car hard). The car felt incredibly well planted in the corners and 130 mph on the long straight felt like we were driving the legal limit. The sound was AWESOME. It's one of the coolest cars I've ever been in.

The last pic of the wheel shows a separate small caliper which I'm told is the e-brake!

Hey DJ, no we were there the following day.
My wife Irene is on a Lemons team this year and they went to test and paint their $500 1979 Buick Regal!
I spent the day driving the Pawxster and making sure it was well after the winter hibernation.
If you're ever at MMC please let me know. We love every day there.

My wife and I joined last year and have been really happy. We have difficult work schedules including lots of weekends and MMC has been great for us in terms of scheduling track time. It is an amazing track with fantastic staff and the members are all very nice.

That pic had those damn balloons photoshopped into it.
Yes, I did fit but I would say that the McLaren is not a car for fat people.
