Brawn didn't have the $$$ to develop the 2010 car while in the midst of a championship battle. You know as well as I do that it takes a team with a huge budget to win back to back championships.

The way I see it, his decision to concentrate on the 2009 championship was wise. He knew that there wouldn't be a problem securing a major sponsor for 2010 and beyond, luckily for him, Mercedes came along - who knows when he and Mercedes began talks for a take over.
