Porsche GT3 RSR nails Nurburgring record
997 GT3 RSR & Christian “Toto” Wolff nails Nurburgring record but loses a bit more in the end.

I was looking for some info on today’s Audi R8 GT3 results at DMV 4 hr Stunden-Rennen from the Nurburgring ( They finished for their first podium, 3rd!)...and came across this news. A few days ago Toto Wolff went for the record on the “Green Hell”. He crushed it by 4min with a 7:03.2 but on the second attempt, entering the Foxhole his right-rear tire blew out. At the time of impact he was traveling at 268 km/h or 165mph. Yeow! He walked away with a concussion, bruises and a bit more but is at home, resting! ( I think Nissan is claiming several irregularities with the timing. *joke!)

Aside from the crash, the onboard video is beautiful!
