thought it is not going to an M1 but an i135s or something there abouts as M1 was the original M.

Nobody has any idea what it will be called. My hunch is 135is. We'll see if I'm correct.

Yes! ^^ I can't wait to drive this car when it comes out.

If this 1er ends up being as good as I think it will (LSD, wider track, less weight, and reworked suspension), it will give my fellow Porsche and Audi friends/fans a run for their money.

I'd love if the curb weight of this upcoming 1er was closer the Cayman S (3031 lbs). I doubt that will happen though. I wonder if we'll see any H&R suspension parts on this car due to BMW's recent special partnership announcement.

The sad thing is that they will probably limit it like the cayman so it doesn't overstep the flagship ( 911 or in this case, M3 ).

I appreciate lines of the 1er in person. It doesn't look very good in photos.

It's been unofficially confirmed by sources at BMWNA that this model will be built entirely by the M division and not an is badged car. Now I think it will be called the 1M.
